While a photo does a great job of capturing what we see with our own eyes, a time-lapse can reveal just how little our eyes actually allow us to see. So turn yours on today's feature, and catch a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse of what is widely considered the most beautiful building in the world.

Combining elements from Islamic, Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian styles, the Taj Mahal is one of the world’s most celebrated structures—and is regarded by many as the best example of India's Mughal architecture. Construction began sometime around 1632 and was completed in 1653, taking nearly 22 years to complete and employing ~20,000 artisans and craftsmen throughout the empire. The Taj Mahal attracts some 3 million visitors a year and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
